Release notes

High-level release notes for ARGUS. Incremental fixes and UI polish aren’t listed; for a per-ticket changelog, see the in-app Help → What’s new feed.

2026-Q2

The Q2 release is a heavy DJI-integration quarter.

  • DJI auto-stream. Live video from DJI docks now starts automatically the moment its three preconditions are met (dock online, aircraft online, livestream permission). No more manual “start stream” clicks between flights. See Auto-stream.
  • SEI AI detections. YOLO11, SAM and DETR detections are now embedded in the live video’s SEI metadata, so AR overlays stay frame-perfect even under network jitter. Detection layers are toggled from the stream tile.
  • FlySafe unlock-licence UI. Managing DJI custom unlock licences — upload, assign to aircraft, revoke — is now inside ARGUS. Previously this required DJI Pilot 2. See FlySafe custom unlock.
  • Flight-area CRUD. Custom flight areas (DNFZ / GFZ / stay-inside) can be created, edited, versioned and synced to docks from the web app. See Flight areas.
  • DJI error-code dictionary. 448 DJI error codes now have human-readable names and an operator-friendly hover. Affects the dock event log, HMS panel and NACK toasts.
  • Multi-dock relay pre-upload. Missions that span multiple docks now pre-upload to each dock’s local cache before flight so the aircraft doesn’t pause mid-task to fetch the next leg. Transparent to operators; noticeable in the timeline.

2026-Q1

Q1 was a ground-up refresh of situational awareness and after-action.

  • Photorealistic 3D map. The Cesium-backed 3D view now pulls photorealistic tiles when available and falls back to vector terrain elsewhere. Turn on from the map’s layer switcher.
  • Tactical hologram. A new vector-tile hologram layer renders terrain + buildings + mission polygons as a translucent overlay suitable for commanders on a separate display. See Tactical hologram.
  • AI mission reports with PDF. Post-mission, ARGUS generates a full after-action report — mission objective, timeline, HMS summary, geofence events, AI-selected stills — and exports it as PDF. See Mission report.
  • Unified copilot alerts via master caution. Previously the in-op copilot had its own alert banner. It now feeds the master caution aggregator so commanders see every warning in one place. See Master caution.

Earlier

Release notes before 2026-Q1 are in the in-app Help → What’s new feed and the team’s internal changelog. Major landmarks from that era include the initial TACLINK fabric rollout, the shift from DJI Pilot relay to native DJI Cloud API and the first generation of the op-console tile system.
